Environmentally friendly campsites and glamping sites have received acclaim in the 2017 Campsites.co.uk camping and glamping awards, with winners announced last month.
Wild Boar Wood campsite, in Sussex, has won the national Greener Site award. Wild Boar Wood is totally off-grid and offers a 'wild glamping' experience in bell tents within an ancient woodland. It's a chance to relax and reconnect with nature, with the environment carefully protected thanks to wind-up eco lanterns, open air bucket showers and eco-friendly shampoo supplied to guests.
